It’s Saturday, folks! If you’re a Monday to Friday workweek human, then congratulations – you made it! If you’re a parent, sorry, you still got work to do. But not before you chill in your comfiest place at home, in your comfiest clothes (or none at all, if that’s your thing), sippin’ your favourite morning beverage. Mine’s coffee, what’s yours?

For today’s #SippinSaturday, I wanted to take a look back at this past week.

For many moms and dads, it was Back to School week. I don’t know about the other parents out there, but I felt like this:

Back to School week elicited some nifty ideas for organization, lunches, and fall decor…What is it about Back to School that causes us all to change our front porches from potted flowers, to crates with pumpkins and pinecones?

I’ve certainly been inspired and have some recipes and DIYs coming up over the coming days/weeks.

This week in the news has had some unfortunate circumstances such as Hurricane Dorian (look out Alabama!).

All jokes aside, thousands of homes in the Bahamas were destroyed, and at least 30 lives lost. I hope everyone in North Carolina and Nova Scotia (as the Hurricane makes its way north) stay safe.

For our family it was a big week as the Edmonton Oilers rookie camp began this week, and some familiar faces were part of the “optional skates”.

Finally, I wanted to celebrate the fact that this blog has grown in traffic. I’ve had 82 visitors, and 229 views this week. Pretty significant for this humbled lady! I’m looking forward to putting out more content and engaging with more of you.

Stay tuned for a DIY post later today.

Later, gators!
